    • Frederick Richard Mallett was educated at Enniskillen Royal School finsihing in December 1858. He served with the Government Geological Survey in India. He was appointed assistant and joined the Survey on the 12th February 1859. He went on to become a department superintendant in April 1883. His designations changed to superintendant of survey and he retired in 1889. Frederic was the author of contributions to the survey pubins.

      In 1881, Frederic was listed on the election of Ordinary Members for the Geological Society of London. The entry appears as follows:
