He appears in the household of his grandparents James and Jennie Mallett listed as a grandchild, but the only two possible parents are the two oldest girls Sarah and Edith, because all of the other children were still at home and unmarried. Edith Maud married in the September quarter of 1908, and Robert was born in the December quarter of the same year, so she wasn't the likely parent. That leaves Sarah, who was still single in 1911, working as a Domestic Servant in the household of one Charles Rolling. She would have been 22 or 23 years old when Robert was born.
