- Cliff retired in 1975. Lived in Lamont from abt. 1938-43. Elsie Gerlitz Mallett taught school in Lamont for those years-including Wm. Mallett, no kin of ours.
Cilff died in a Veterans Home in Burnaby, BC.

Passed away in his 97th year, surrounded by his children, in Burnaby, BC, where he had moved from Edmonton in 2005. Beloved husband of the late Elsie Mallett (Gerllitz). Survived by his children, Bob (Chin-Chiu Chang) (Tarsus, Turkey), Maureen (Calgary), and Joey (Vancouver), grandchildren, respectively, Morgan Mallett, Rebekah and Nathan hunt, and Maweuna Mallett; former son/daughter -in -law, Frank Hunt and Karen Patrick; his sisters Jean (Bob) Dick and Elsie Grant; and numberous nieces and nephews. Cliff was predeceased by his brothers, Art, Leslie, Loorne, and sister, Edith Osback.
He loved his family, and we loved him.
He taught us right from wrong.
He faced life's challenges
with determination and courage.
He spent six years lovingly caring
for his dying wife, our mother.
Heignored his pain.
He found pleaure in his family and work.
He was heroic.
We are living his legacy. . . Let be.

Memorial Service
The children of the late Clifford Mallett invite friends and family to attend his memorial service and tea, at Avonmore United Church, 7909-82 Avenue, Edmonton, on Saturday, July 211, 2009 at 11:0am.
Cliff passed away in his 97th year, surrounded by his children, in Burnaby, British Columbia, where he had moved, form Edmonton, in 2005. Beloved husband of the late Elsie Mallett (Gerlitz). Survived by his children, Bob (Chin-Chiu Chang) (Tarsus, Turkey), Maureen (Calgary), and Joey (Vancouver); grandchildren, respectively, Morgan Mallett and her mother Karen Patrick, Rebekah and Nathan Hunt and their father, Frank, and Mawuena Mallett; his sisters Jeanne (Bob) Dick and Elsie Grant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
