- Alice's sister Mary was with them, no occupation given. William was a Civil Service Clerk in the "Teleh Dept", whatever that was.
Census 1891 37 Beulah Road, Croydon, London, England [6]
- There were 2 additional daughters, but the oldest one was missing. William was still a Civil Service Clerk, and the family has moved.
Census 1901 5 Bincton Road, Croydon, London, England [1]
- Alice was described as a widow in 1901, "Living on Own Means". Only Edith and Lillian are at home. The wherabouts of the two boys are not known, nor of Margaret, but Margaret was also missing from the 1891 census, so perhaps died. The street address is very difficult to make out, but looks like "Bincton".
