    • All of the known children were living at home. There is a substantial gap in age between Frank and Lilly - 8 years, because 3 tiny ones were born, but died, between them. Joshua is a Draper, Frank is a Draper's Apprentice, Lilly, George, and Florence are attending school. Joshua's cousin Matilda Avery, and unmarried Annuitant, is living with them.

      Caroline Robins, niece, a Milliner's Assistant, lived with them. She was the daughter of Matilda's sister Mary Hannah Mallett and John Robins. Caroline's mother died in 1876, and it seems likely that her father died sometime between 1881 and 1891, since Caroline was with the Heywoods and her sister Mary was with her uncle William Mallett in Cornwall at the same time.

      Joshua was still in the Draper's trade, and was an employer. The family had a visitor, Leonard S Lyle, 22, born in Barnstaple, a "Gentleman's Outfitter".
