Move |
1915 [2] |
- From Prince Edward Island to South Dakota. According to both the 1920 and the 1930 census, they immigrated to the US in 1915. They may have lived somewhere other than South Dakota initially, but Pollock, South Dakota is where they were in both 1920 and 1930.

Census |

2nd Avenue, Pollock, Campbell County, South Dakota, USA [2] |
- Joseph was a Carpenter and an Employer, working in the House industry. The house they lived in was rented, and no children were listed in the household.
|

Pollock, Campbell County, South Dakota, USA [3] |
- Joseph's occupation was still Carpenter, the owner of a business in the House industry, as in 1920. As in all previous censuses, there were no children in the household. Interestingly, though both speak English, under country of origin it says "Canada - French" for both Joseph and May, and each of their father's were from England, while their mother's were also from "Canada - French". They immigrated to the US in 1915.

Death |
24 Feb 1938 |
South Dakota, USA |
- He is mentioned in Chester Mallett's obituary (brother, d 1933) as living in North Dakota, but Pollock is practically on the border between North and South Dakota, and there was an Obituary published in either Emmons Logan or McIntosh County, North Dakota for a Joseph Mallett with the correct age to be this Joseph, so perhaps there was confusion about which State they actually lived in. Emmons county is directly adjacent to Pollock. The North Dakota Department of Health has no record of the death of a Joseph Mallett.
