"Robert MALLETT with his wife, Lydia and their 4 sons, Robert, William, John, and Walter, emigrated from Suffolk Co., England in 1835 and settled at Union Road, PEI. on a farm.
William, John and Robert settled in Lot 33 in 1835. The 4th son, Walter, married Caroline Elizabeth RODD of which the first bought a farm in Murray Harbour. His first son John did not like the area so when Farm #48 became available in York he came and bought it in 1880."
Walter's farm house is today( 2007) the residence of John Mallett, if I remember correctly, but the farm itself was located where the runways are for the Charlottetown airport.

WALTER MALLETT, a well known farmer in Lot 33, Queens county, was
born near Ipswich, England, in May 1832, and is the son of Robert and
Lydia (Braynton)[sic] Mallett, also natives of England. Robert Mallett
came to Prince Edward Island in 1835, and settled on the present
farm, where he followed agricultural pursuits. At that early day but
few improvements had been made in the locality, roads were but few
and in poor confition; all of this was accomplished, however, and the
place has been developed into one of the best farms in the community.
Robert Mallett died in 1876, and his wife in 1868. They were the
parents of four children. Robert, William, John and Walter. Walter
Mallett attended the district schools in his youth and was reared to
farming pursuits, which he has since always followed. He is now the
owner of eighty-five acres of splendid land, which he well improved
with a comfortable residence, substantial barn and other outbuildings
and well kept fences. Here he carries on general farming and
gardening and also raises some live stock.
He married Miss Caroline Rodd and to them have been born the
following children: John, Cephas, David, Wallace, Hammond, Aphonso,
Ambrose, Lydia, Fannie, Mary and Lillian, In politics Mr. Mallett
supports the Liberal party and has been honored by election to school
offices. His religion affiliation is with the Methodist church, and
his support is always given to those movements which promise to
benefit his fellowmen.
