      'Mr James Mallet, blacksmith of S.Courtenay, (son of John Mallet) & Miss Ann Lacey.......George Lacey & John Quicke, both of S.C. yeoman ...the sum of £100.....tenement & burgage in NT heretofore in possession of Richard Pyle, since of William Prouse, gent. dec'd, and since in possession of Thomas Robbins, shoemaker dec'd, but lately in possession of Richard Gove and now in possession of John Mallet.....bounded by the lands of Charles Hore on the South side, by the churchyard on the East, by the street on the west side, and of a little lane leading from the borough to the churchyard on the north'. Both Mallets sign their names in literate hands as does Richard Gove.
