She was the informant at her son's birth.
Memorial inscription: Eleanora Lavinia Margretta, the beloved wife of Edward Austin, who died Dec 18th, 1900, aged 58 years. A loving heart and true. Also of Edward Austin, beloved husband of the above, who passed away Apr 7th, 1928, ages 85 years.

Street directories: Edward Austin rag merchant and marine store dealer at 54 Matthias Road (formerly Matthias Place) from 1878 to 1891. In 1893 he is succeeded by Henry Austin.

E. Austin & Sons of Atlas Wharf, Hackney was next to British Perforated Paper and Cornico. They employed 400 people and built houses in Berkshire Road for the workers; it was a housing trust; after W.W.II the rent was 10/a week' they earned about L/5 a week.
The Peacocks were employed in the works as foremen; there were four: father and three sons.
E. Austin & Sons moved to Ware about 1960. Douglas and Stanley Austin (cousins) died and the works was converted by Douglas's son into a plant hire company. There was also a factory at Old Ford which was a laundry for wiping rags.
