    • Joseph's occupation was still Carpenter, the owner of a business in the House industry, as in 1920. As in all previous censuses, there were no children in the household. Interestingly, though both speak English, under country of origin it says "Canada - French" for both Joseph and May, and each of their father's were from England, while their mother's were also from "Canada - French". They immigrated to the US in 1915.

Died 24 Feb 1938  South Dakota, USA Find all individuals with events at this location
    • He is mentioned in Chester Mallett's obituary (brother, d 1933) as living in North Dakota, but Pollock is practically on the border between North and South Dakota, and there was an Obituary published in either Emmons Logan or McIntosh County, North Dakota for a Joseph Mallett with the correct age to be this Joseph, so perhaps there was confusion about which State they actually lived in. Emmons county is directly adjacent to Pollock. The North Dakota Department of Health has no record of the death of a Joseph Mallett.
