    This is a painting of Ash House thought to be done by Caroline Mallet, who was born there in 1828. It isn't known when it was painted, but somewhere around 1850 seems likely.

    From an original oil painting. There is a painting of her husband Hugh Mallet at a similar age, and both are quite young, so it is assumed that the paintings were done at about the time of their wedding, c. 1824.
