  • Name John MALLETT
Born 21 Jun 1824  Barnstaple, Devon, England Find all individuals with events at this location
    Gender Male
    Occupation 03 Apr 1881  [1
    Watchmaker.
    Reference 683
    Died 12 Oct 1881
    Notes
    • This John Mallett is also a Watchmaker and Jeweller. He probably learned the trade from his uncle John back in Barnstaple. The son John is assumed to be part of this family because his age and occupation (also watchmaker) fit. The two Johns are living in separate households in the 1881 census. The photographs of the John Mallett family taken in Jersey are obviously of this family and not the John Mallett who was a clockmaker and jeweller in Bath. One of the photos shows the 3 brothers together and clearly state their names: John, Walter, and Fred.
